Hello from sunny Melbourne!!! Yes, sunny!!! The weather is delightful now. Hope it will stay that way for a little while longer :D.

Started off the day early back in cold (but sunny!!!) Launceston. Had to catch a 9.45 am flight back to the Aussie mainland (Melbourne in this case). After a quick breakfast, I said goodbye to the nice Flamish owner and his dog. Pity that I didn’t get to see that much of Launceston, looks like a very nice city. Perhaps even nicer than Hobart.

Anyway, it was a quick ride to the airport with the airport shuttle. Launceston airport is just so small and cute :). Boarding commenced shortly after I passed customs. It all went very smoothly, no delays (finally!!). About fourty-five minutes later, yep it was a very short flight, the plane landed at Melbourne Tullamarine. A shuttle bus took me to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station. There I was just a little confused, had no clue which way I had to go.

I decided that it was time for a nice cappucinno ;) (why can’t I ever write this word correctly???). The cap..whatever helped, because –after finishing it- I easily found my way to the hostel (Melbourne Central YHA this time). I checked in a had a quick lunch. I then thought it was about time for another run. Quickly put my running gear on and I was ready to go! Melbourne Central YHA is perfect for running, since is it located closely to the Yarra River. I had a great run along this river, although my upper legs were hurting a little bit from descending Cradle Mountain yesterday ;). Ran up to Melbourne Park, gave the Rod Laver Arena a little wave, and made my way back to the hostel.

After taking a well-deserved shower, I took the free City Tram ( for some quick exploring of Melbourne city, will have more time tomorrow, when Ihave planned another walking tour). On my way back to the hostel, I found a Coles (grocery store, always nice to know where those are). Bought something to drink, including one bottle of Smart Juice, which I hope will make me smarter lol :).

Gotta go now. I have to get back to the hostel and drop my netbook off (just had a nice dinner at a restaurant, which is a luxury for me, usually make my own simple dinner :D). Then I will be more than ready for tonight’s concert. Finally Maestro Placido Domingo live on stage!!! Just five days after I saw Philip Quast live on stage (for the fourth time lol). What a luxury!!! :P :) :D

    Marga:

    Enjoy Placido.
If the Smart juice works you can start a new business, import it in the Netherlands and get rich. Then you could eat in a restaurant every day and yearn for zuurkool met worst.
Sometimes it is nice to believe in Fairy tails
