Back in Sydney!!

Yep, after an "absence" of about two weeks I am back in Sydney :D.

Such a pity though that I had to leave Lancefield (and Mebourne), which finally gave me some good rays of sunshine yesterday :). On my last day in Lancefield, I went running (got quite attached to my running route there) and packed my suitcase (suitcase is getting heavier and heavier, will probably reach the 20 kg when I fly out of Sydney ;)). My aunt then cooked me a delicious "farewell" meal. Hmm, thanks again!!

Got dropped off at Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport (just have to write this one out, like this name). I still had some time to explore the airport shops a little bit, which I of course did. Besides, I didn't want to spend too much time in the very dark part of the terminal that belonged to Jestar. Don't know why it had too be so dark. Perhaps because Jetstar is a low-cost airline????

Fortunately, Jetstar did fly me safely to Sydney (and Hobart and Melbourne). That is the most important thing, its reliability, I can handle the dark Jestar terminals. When I arrived at Sydney Kingsforth Smith International Airport (again have to write this down, another cool name for an airport ;)) and collected my suitcase, I took the train to the city center. Very quick and pretty cheap too.

I got off at Wynyard Station, from where it was just a short walk to my last hostel here in Australia: Sydney Harbour YHA. I am in a room with three other girls. This hostel does seem to have the atmosphere that the other YHA hostels I stayed at lacked. It is a noisy hostel though. When you are in your room, everything that happens in the areas around you (hallways, rooms above you, rooms below you).

Sorry, this blog is a little bit rushed (I will write about the walking tours that I did in a later blog). Don't have that much time. I am using the YHA internet, which is quite expensive. This time, I had no choice though. The battery of my netbook just died. I thought that I recharged it yesterday, but apparently my adaptor has stopped working. It is also refusing to recharge my cellphones and batteries (so the problem does not lay with one of the actual chargers). Just bought myself a new adaptor, which I can now use for a staggering three days!! But it is simple, I need the adaptor.

Oh, and I have decided that I am not going to the Blue Mountains tomorrow. Weather forecast is still uncertain. There is going to be a little bit of sun, but also some heavy spells of rain. I just don't want to risk it. Driving up there, probably getting naucious from the sharp bends and then having my view obstructed by clouds, mist and rain.

To ease the "pain" from missing out on the Blue Mountains, I have bought myself another ticket for Mary Poppins ;). Tonight, they still had really cheap (but good) seats available :).

At 8 pm I will find out if Poppins will actually ease the Blue Mountains "pain". It will if Philip Quast performs. And it won't if he doesn't lol. But I cannot imagine that I will miss out on Philip Quast both tonight and Sunday night. That would be sheer bad luck!!!

Gotta go now, almost out of internet credit!! And I have to get ready for the musical!!!
